College Admissions
Present the best version of yourself.
The Ultimate Job Application
Applying for college is like applying for an important job. You need to powerfully convey who you are, what you’ve done, what sets you apart, and why you’ll be successful.
College Consulting
You’ve worked hard for 12 years just to get to this point! All that stands between you and college is an admittedly daunting application. Extracurriculars, honors, accomplishments, essays, supplemental questions - taken together, college applications can feel like another AP class on top of an already loaded schedule. Working with someone who has an in-depth understanding of the process will ensure that all your hard work is conveyed in the most powerful manner possible. I’m not going to pretend you were on the crew team to get you into USC, but I will make sure you present the best version of yourself.
The Admissions Process
The college process starts long before senior year. I’ll help lead you through the entire process to make sure you’ve got the application content - and application quality - to achieve your college goals. I’m happy to help at any point along the way, but a four year plan looks something like the following:
Freshman - course and extracurricular selection
Sophomore - volunteer and leadership cultivation
Junior - test preparation and college lists / visits
Senior - college essays and application
College Essays
One of the most difficult parts of the application process is the composition of college essays. They want you to tell them how great you are (but don’t brag!), and they want you to tell them how unique you are (even though your experiences are similar to thousands of other students!). The key when composing these essays is that the way you write matters just as much as what you write. We’ll work together to develop a unique and powerful story that conveys exactly who you are and why you’ll be successful at the college level. Start this process early so that you’re submitting a powerful, concise piece of prose along with your application.

“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.”
